The RS422/USB converts digital signals from up to 4 optical sensors into a USB data packet. The new converter has 4 trigger inputs and a trigger output for connecting additional converters.The data are output via an USB interface. The converter as well as the connected sensor are parametrisable by software.

scanCONTROL 30x2 laser scanners are powerful profile sensors in terms of size, accuracy and measuring rate. These laser scanners provide calibrated 2D profile data with up to approx. 8 million points per second. With a maximum profile frequency of 10 kHz, the scanners are designed for precise profile measurements in dynamic processes. The sensor matrix offers a resolution of 1,024 points with a point distance from 24 µm. This means that even small details can be detected reliably.

The optoNCDT1420 offers a unique combination of speed, size, performance and application versatility for displacement, distance and position measurements. The compact triangulation sensor achieves a high measurement accuracy and measuring rates of up to 8kHz. The selectable connector type, i.e. cable or pigtail, together with compact size reduce the sensor installation effort to a minimum. Just like all triangulation sensors from Micro-Epsilon, the optoNCDT 1420 provides an intelligent surface regulation. The Active Surface Compensation (ASC) ensures stable measurement results regardless of changing surface colours or brightness. The high-performance optical system generates a small light spot which enables to even detect smallest components reliably.

The SGS (Spindle Growth System) 4701 displacement measuring system is developed for high speed milling machine applications. Due to high machining speeds and the heat generated, the linear thermal expansion of the precision machine tool spindle needs to be compensated for in order to keep the tool in a defined position at all times. The SGS sensor measures the expansion of the spindle caused by thermal and centrifugal force. The measurement takes places typically on the labyrinth-ring. As well as the linear expansion, the temperature of the sensor is detected and output.These measurement values are fed into the CNC machine tool as correction values, compensating for any positioning errors.
