The most popular bottle of organic maple syrup, an amber coloured, rich tasting syrup accompanies many desserts and sweet preparations. It is a true sugar in its own right, a natural whole sugar, the sugar of the forest. Its unique flavour will satisfy young and old alike! The maple grove managed by La Ferme Vifranc inc. is managed gently, without intensive felling or pruning, and the maples cohabit with other tree species, for a harmonious and balanced forest, certified organic. Organic maple syrup is produced in mid-March and late April. Vifranc Farm's high standards of quality are reflected in this exceptional syrup, through particularly demanding methods of working the maple grove and producing the maple syrup: - Two varieties of maple are used to obtain this syrup, the sugar maple and the flat maple. - As soon as the sap is harvested, it is stored in stainless steel tanks to mature for 24 hours.

Maple syrup is a syrup usually made from the xylem sap of sugar maple, red maple, or black maple trees, although it can also be made from other maple species. In cold climates, these trees store starch in their trunks and roots before winter; the starch is then converted to sugar that rises in the sap in late winter and early spring. Maple trees are tapped by drilling holes into their trunks and collecting the sap, which is processed by heating to evaporate much of the water, leaving the concentrated syrup. Most trees can produce 20 to 60 litres (5 to 15 US gallons) of sap per season
